Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling at several locations across the county. “Cut” trees will be turned into mulch.

Trees will be collected at:

• From 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday in the Farmer’s Market Shed at Cannonsburgh

• From 7 a.m.-2:55 p.m. Monday-Friday at the City Mulching Facility, 4765 Florence Rd.

• From Dec. 26-Jan 14 at Lee Victory Recreation Park on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.

• From Dec. 26-Jan. 1 at the La Vergne Public Works Building, 148 International Blvd.

• Curbside pickup is available within the Murfreesboro city limits only. Trees should be left curbside with no ornaments.

Trees will not be accepted for disposal at county convenience centers, but will be accepted free of charge at the Rutherford County Landfill, 6000 Landfill Rd.
