Read to Succeed has partnered with the Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia and Linebaugh Library to present a Dyslexia Information Forum.
The forum is free and open to parents, teachers, and other interested individuals from 6:25-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Linebaugh Public Library, 105 W. Vine St.
Join the panel of speakers for information on dyslexia, personal stories and advice from persons affected by dyslexia, a question & answer period, and dessert.
Dyslexia is the principal learning disability contributing to limited overall development of literacy skills, despite good teaching, among intelligent individuals who want to learn.
Students with dyslexia can learn to read and write effectively, if identified early, if specialized approaches to instruction are provided, and if teachers and families are patient.
Linebaugh Library will provide story time for children ages 3 to 8 who accompany parents.
RSVP, if possible, to Grace James at 615-494-8880 or dyslexia@mtsu.edu.
Panel Members include:
