Rutherford County Schools will open one hour late on Tuesday.

The district has had personnel driving many county roads throughout the day today and only found a few roads in the Lascassas and Kittrell areas that still have some snow coverage.

As such, the district will open one hour late on Tuesday. However, bus drivers and parents can use their discretion. If a bus driver feels a road is impassable, they may chose not to service that road.

Likewise, the district will excuse absences for any parent who feels their children should not ride a bus because of conditions in their area.

High schools will resume their exam on Tuesday as scheduled.
