NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING The City of Murfreesboro will conduct a Public Meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Erma Siegel Elementary School, located at 135 West Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37127 to discuss Project Number 13-04-0202, Cherry Lane Extension - Phase 3 from Northwest Broad Street (US 41/70) to Sulphur Springs Road in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, TN. This project will be approximately 2.4 miles in total length and along mostly new alignment, including a new interchange location at SR-840. The roadway typical section will include a 100' R.O.W. width, encompassing 5 - 12' lanes (including a center turn lane), 2' curb and gutter, 5' grass strips, a 5' sidewalk, and a 10' multi-use path. Project features include a bridge crossing over the West Fork Stones River and its associated floodplain. The interchange will include a two-span grade separation structure for Cherry Lane over SR-840 and will require the extension of a triple barrel 10'x10' RCBC along with two proposed box culverts for ramp construction and an additional RCBC beneath the proposed Cherry Lane roadway at an unnamed tributary. This proposed corridor is included in the City of Murfreesboro's and Rutherford County's Major Thoroughfare Plan and project funding is provided by the City of Murfreesboro. This will be an "open house" type meeting to be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM during which time there will be no formal presentation and interested persons may arrive any time within the designated meeting period. The meeting will allow attendees to view the project plans, ask questions and make comments regarding the proposed project. Representatives from The City of Murfreesboro and Wiser Consultants, LLC, the consultant for the project, will be available to answer any project-related questions. Comments and suggestions received at this meeting will help further refine all aspects of project alignment and design. Comment sheets will be available to make written statements.
