A woman who is more than eight months pregnant was charged with domestic assault after she allegedly threatened her boyfriend with a knife after he didn’t clean up a flour mess Friday, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Na Lin, who turns 34 today, of Paddock Club Apartments on Thompson Lane was charged with aggravated domestic assault by Officer Michele Ratleph.

When Ratleph arrived, she asked the crying Lin about the location of a knife but she denied striking boyfriend Shuangfei Wang with a knife. She told Ratleph Wang spilled flour on the floor and needed to clean it up because she couldn’t due to her advanced pregnancy.

“The female then stated she got angry, then angrier because the male party was going to leave without cleaning up the mess he made,” Ratleph reported.

Sgt. Jim Wyatt located Wang who told Ratleph he attempted to clean up the floor but not the way Lin wanted. Their argument escalated into a physical fight where he accused Lin of slapping his face three times.

Because of the knife, Lin was charged with aggravated domestic assault and booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Feb. 10 in General Sessions Court.

Wang obtained an order of protection against her.

Officer Jonathan Brown recovered the knife.
