Murfreesboro Police need help identifying two suspects, which were caught on surveillance tape robbing the Cash Express on Memorial Boulevard on Monday. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 615-893-7867.
Police are asking for help from the public in identifying the two suspects who robbed a Cash Express employee at gunpoint Monday on Memorial Boulevard.

The suspects are described as two black males. One of the suspects was carrying a shotgun when they entered the store just before noon, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.

“The male suspect who was armed stated to her, ‘give me all the money,’” Officer Rashad Howse reported. “So, she proceeded to get the money out of the cash drawer and place it on the counter. The suspects then (told) her to ‘go hide,’ and she proceeded to hide.”

The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

Police arrived with a K-9 unit only moments after the incident occurred. Although the K-9 unit initially picked up a trail, the dog was unable to maintain the scent because of the heavy traffic area, according to MPD officials.

This is the second time in two weeks the store – and the same employee – has been robbed.

On Nov. 15, two armed suspects entered the store and immediately demanded money from the employee.

Those suspects are described as two black males who were wearing black jackets, dark-colored jeans and blue bandanas with dark caps, according to an MPD incident report.

Although the two incidents are similar in nature, MPD officials have not publicly confirmed whether the two robberies are connected.

Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 615-893-7867.

Maybe they robbed it because they could not afford to repay borrowing money at 600% interest...just saying

Or they just realized that nothing is behind that store and they could just run to the Kingwood Apts. I doubt anyone there will snitch on two random men with guns.
