Smyrna Police need help identifying a man and woman working together to steal a senior citizen’s purse about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 in the meat department at Wal-Mart.

A man and woman set up to steal her purse, said Police Sgt. Bobby Gibson. The man approached the woman and distracts her while his female partner takes the purse from the woman's shopping cart.

The pair then left the store and drive away in a black SUV, possibly a Jeep.

The male is wearing a white, tank top with khaki shorts and has tattoos on both upper arms.  He also has dark hair and is wearing sunglasses.

The female is wearing a blue/green T-shirt and is wearing blue jeans.

People who have information on their identity are asked to call Smyrna Police Detective Lt. Jeff Duke at 267-5016 or Crime Stoppers at 459-CLUE or 893-STOP between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
