Authorities are searching for an unidentified suspect who allegedly stole more than $5,000 worth of prescription drugs Tuesday from Walgreens Pharmacy on Old Fort Parkway, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.

Police released photos of the suspect Wednesday, in an effort to identify the man.

No one was injured during the incident.

“The complainant stated that a white male wearing a hoodie with a white and black checkered jacket, blue shorts with a large, white stripe down the sides and black shoes with white soles asked for a prescription,” MPD Officer Cale Bain reported. “(The victim) stated that he did not give a name…”

The victim told police the suspect approached the counter and handed over a note demanding the pharmacist give him prescription drugs, specifically oxycodone and morphine, in addition to other medications, according to the report.

“(The victim) stated that the writing on the envelope read, ‘Give me what I need. I have a gun,’” Bain reported, adding that there were no words exchanged and the victim put the drugs in a white Walgreens plastic bag, before the man left in an unknown direction.

Police are urging anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 615-893-7867.
