Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday.

One man has been shot. He has since been transported to StoneCrest Medical Center. His condition remains unknown at this time.

Police responded to the Kroger on Old Fort Parkway a few minutes after 11 p.m., however it is unknown if the shooting occurred in the parking lot or at another location.

Officials with the Police Department were not available for comment immediately following the incident.
