A Smyrna man accused of robbing Pinnacle Financial Partners Friday was charged Monday, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Suspect Stephen W. Blonks, 50, of 133 Cross Court in Smyrna was charged with aggravated robbery, Detective Craig Snider reported.

Blonks was identified as the suspect and a bank witness identified him, Snider reported. His truck matched the description of the vehicle driven away by the suspect.

Bank videotape showed a man wearing a tie and baseball cap robbing the teller Friday afternoon.

Snider located Blonks at his home. He was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Thursday in General Sessions Court.

The FBI traditionally adopts bank robbery cases so the suspect is prosecuted in federal court.
