A national human resources consulting firm has named Pinnacle Financial Partners as one of the best workplaces in the country on its 2013 Best Small and Medium Workplaces list, published online this week in Fortune Magazine.
Pinnacle, which has locations in Murfreesboro, ranked No. 5 out of 25 firms on the medium-sized list, which recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. Now in its 10th year, the competition is divided into two categories: small, with up to 250 employees, and medium-sized firms, which have up to 999 employees.
This is the second consecutive year Pinnacle has earned a spot on the list.
“We set out to build the best place to work in Tennessee when we were founded 13 years ago,” said Terry Turner, president and chief executive officer of Pinnacle. “We were very intentional about creating a culture where associates are engaged and want to come to work every day, so it’s rewarding that our work environment is recognized as one of the best in the entire country.”
Pinnacle was selected among hundreds of great places to work across the country. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about benefits programs and company practices.
“The companies appearing on our list help us achieve our mission by presenting others with an example to emulate,” said Robert Levering, chief executive officer and co-founder of Great Place to Work, the consulting firm. “These companies demonstrate that being an excellent employer leads to business success.”
