The annual Pink Zone game will make its return to Murfreesboro Sunday as the Middle Tennessee women's basketball team will play host to South Alabama at 2 p.m. inside the Murphy Center.
The Blue Raiders will wear special pink uniforms for the third-straight season to help raise awareness to benefit breast cancer research. The uniforms will be auctioned off following the contest with all proceeds raised benefiting the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund and the Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) Cancer Center.
The last two Pink Zone games have raised over $36,000 for breast cancer research, including a record $18,320 last year.
Fans can make a minimum donation of $5 to receive an official Pink Zone t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit breast cancer research. The t-shirts will be available on the track level and on the lower concourse by Auxiliary Gym 1.
Zeta Tau Alpha sorority members will also be on-hand to distribute pink ribbons and shower cards to fans as they enter the gates on the track level and through the loading dock on the lower concourse by Auxiliary Gym 1.
