Brandon Nolen will join the Middle Tennessee baseball staff as the volunteer assistant as announced by head coach Steve Peterson.
Nolen joins the Blue Raider staff after the departure of John Peterson, who accepted a position at Eastern Kentucky. His duties at Middle Tennessee will include working with catchers, hitting instruction, and on-campus recruiting.
Prior to accepting the position at Middle Tennessee, Noleb was an assistant coach at Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tenn., for three seasons. At Ensworth, he worked with pitchers, catchers, and hitters.
“I feel he will fit in well with the staff already in place. Brandon was highly recommended by one of our former players, Jason Maxwell, who worked with him at Ensworth,” Peterson said. “Brandon will give us a lot of experience and keep the continuity of responsibilities on the staff because he has a good background in catching. He was very enthusiastic about joining our staff and wants to be on the Division I level. He is a welcome addition to our staff.”
Nolen was an assistant at Volunteer State Community college for four seasons prior to his stint at Ensworth. While at Vol State, Nolen worked with catchers, outfielders and hitters.
While in school at Tennessee-Martin, Nolen was a student assistant coach with the Skyhawks for three seasons where he worked with hitters, catchers and assisted with the strength and conditioning of the student-athletes.
Nolen received his bachelor of science in health and human performance from UT-Martin. |
