Peggy Rogers Williams, age 77 of Rockvale, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home. She was a native of the Longview Community and the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Brannon Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford D. Williams, in 2005.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter Jacqueline Williams of Murfreesboro; sons Keith Williams and his wife Jean of Unionville and Timothy Williams of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren Chaz Elam and Emily Elam both of Murfreesboro, Megan Williams and Courtney Williams both of Unionville, and Ryan Williams and Rachel Ballard both of Watertown; a great grandson, Landon Ballard, of Watertown, and a sister Nell Holden of Unionville.
Mrs. Williams was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a faithful, life-long member of the Rockvale Church of God and was a 1955 graduate of Community High School in Unionville. She was an avid Rook player, NBA Sports Fan, and organizer and coach of the original Rockvale Community girls’ softball team in the Rutherford County Softball League.   
Visitation was held Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of funeral services at 3:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Norman Patton officiated.  Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
