ATHENS, Ga. – Junior John Peers will begin play at the NCAA Individual Championships at 10 a.m. on Wednesday May 26.

The Blue Raider standout will face Baylor’s Denes Lukacs when the first round opens on Wednesday.

Peers received the Sun Belt's automatic bid after an impressive season in which he posted a 19-4 dual match record. The Melbourne, Australia native won seven of his last eight matches to end the regular season.

Currently, Peers is ranked 41 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll released earlier this week. He has been ranked as high as 33 this season.

Peers is 19-4 in dual matches this season and 29-8 overall. Peers has performed well against nationally ranked opponents posting a 9-4 record.

Results from Peers’ matches at the NCAA Individual Championships will be posted on goblueraiders.com when they become available.
