There is good news for lovers of Pawbowsky’s Dog House’s Chicago-style hotdogs.

A second restaurant location is coming to 2445 Memorial Blvd. near Papa Murphy’s and Great Harvest Bread Co., across the street from SportsCom, said co-owner Drew Harrison.

“We are hoping that it is going to be open in mid-March,” he said. “We are pressing to get it open.”

When asked why he and his business partner, John Duchene, decided to open another location, Harrison said, “We have had requests for years to go to that side of town.”

Harrison, who has worked at Pawbowsky’s for years, and Duchene bought the restaurant from the previous owner in December. Pawbowsky’s first opened in 1999.

Since purchasing the restaurant Harrison and Duchene have updated the look of the current restaurant by changing the seating, adding items to the menu and adding four televisions.

Pawbowsky’s serves a variety of food including Vienna beef hotdogs, burgers and hot wings.

Bobby McKee’s Irish Pub is set to open just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, confirmed owner Luke McKee.

McKee said he is trying to have the pub open by March 11 in The Shops at Stones River, the outdoor lifestyle center, at Stones River Mall.

McKee, who also owns Blue Rooster in Murfreesboro, says Bobby McKee's was named after his Irish father - "the Pub is inspired by my father, who is extremely proud of his heritage and loves good times with family and good Irish food."

The 6,000-square-foot Bobby McKee's Pub will have something for all ages, ranging from moderately priced traditional Irish favorites to good ole' American fare and more than 100 imported and domestic beers. The menu has a plentiful selection of Irish comfort food, including shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and more. McKee recommends the lamb stew, a secret family recipe, made from scratch daily.

Yes! I love Pawbowsky's, but have rarely went because they were on the other side of town and none of my friends ever felt like making the drive to go over there for lunch. The new location will be just down the road from me. Thank you Pawbowsky's for opening a second location! :D

since the new owners took over, they changed things.....it is not the same casual atmosphere it once was....I won't go back....

High price for a hot dog, same as Around The Way Dog.

Yeah I've been going there for years, even grew up up in Chicago area and get a craving for the good stuff. I went last week and they now have waiters? Must be the only hot dog joint in America with a wait staff and I don't want to tip for hotdogs. So needless to say that knocks it out as a regular lunch stop.

Macgyver, you are right. I lived in Chicago, enjoyed going for lunch at least once a week to the famous hot dog restaurant downtown near City Hall - never had servers. That is the only thing I miss about my two years in Chicago - loved the one month of summer but that was it.

I have never had a hot dog at Pawbowsky's, but I have eaten many Italian roast beef sandwiches there... great food. I have been there since the change of ownership and I liked the change just fine. I am very glad to hear of their new location. John told me about it the last time I visited the original. I would go more frequently to their original location except for the time it takes to drive there from this side of town.

If you haven't tasted their Italian beef sandwich, I encourage you to try one... I won't drive across town for average food, but I make the trip for that sandwich.

I was totally excited about seeing the sign in the window that Pawbowsky's was coming to our side of town. Can't wait!
