Patterson tees off Thursday at 111th U.S. Open

Middle Tennessee freshman golfer Brett Patterson will tee off in the 111th U.S. Open Championship Thursday in Bethesda, MD at the Congressional Country Club. The Blue Course is a par-71 that plays 7,574 yards.

Patterson, out of McMinnville, Tenn., will tee off the 10th hole at 1:41 PM Central on Thursday with Bennett Blakeman and Brian Locke. Patterson will go off the 1st hole on Friday at 8:01 AM Central. Patterson played the course for the first time on Sunday and again on Monday and is scheduled for rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Television coverage for Thursday and Friday will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT on ESPN, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT on NBC, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Patterson, who helped lead Middle Tennessee to its fourth straight NCAA appearance this season after earning all-conference honors, will also be featured on Golfweek.com on Wednesday. Lance Ringler of Golfweek will host a live chat with Patterson beginning at 10 a.m. and Blue Raider fans are encouraged to participate.
