| As part of the Five-Year Recreation Plan, Murfreesboro's Parks and Recreation Department is asking citizens to share their opinions by participating in a web survey.
This updated plan will be used to guide parks and recreation program improvements and expenditures in Murfreesboro over the next five years.
The survey is an opportunity for citizens to let the city know what more they want from their recreation areas.
The survey lists areas from facilities, parks and programs to future wants and needs such as splash pads, environment issues, bike trails and more.
More bark parks? OK.
What about a skate park? It’s on there.
“We are determining the future direction of the department and this survey will assist with identifying the citizen’s want and need,” Parks and Recreation Director Lanny Goodwin said.
The survey is 26 questions and takes about 5-6 minutes to complete.
For their time, at completion of the survey, participants will entered to win a 90-day family pass to SportsCom and/or Patterson Community Center.
The survey available online at the department’s Web site at www.murfreesborotn.gov/parks, will end at 5p.m. Dec. 15.
Paper surveys are also available at the MPRD Main Office, SportsCom, Patterson Community Center and Wilderness Station.
The success of future parks and recreation programming and facilities relies heavily on the city planning for what the community needs and wants. Y
