Set aside those to-do lists, side step the hustle and bustle of every day life and take some time to relax.

Lucky for residents, Murfreesboro’s newest business, Bodhi Tree Salon & Day Spa, is in the business of pampering.

Located on Old Fort Parkway, just past St. Andrew’s Drive, Bodhi will open the doors its full service salon and spa on Monday.

Owner Linda Kieser calls Bodhi an “upscale day spa destination” that “is a complete day spa experience with ultra-comfortable treatment rooms and the finest spa linens and equipment.

“We offer massage services in a variety of styles, unique facial and body treatments, and the latest in anti-aging products and techniques, as well as hair and salon services such as cuts, styling, coloring, and much more,” she said.

After more than two decades in the Tennessee Air National Guard, Kieser decided it was time to go into business for herself.

“It was a huge decision, obviously, especially with the economy, but I love spas,” she said.

With the help of her husband, Eric, who is also a veteran, the two are seeing their hard work come to fruition.

In addition to traditional services, Bodhi Tree Salon also offers The Chocolate Bar complete with chocolate truffle pedicures, chocolate body wraps and chocolate facials.

“(Chocolate) even has skin softening properties, as it contains cocoa butter that can be used to smoothen out wrinkles,” Kieser explained. “Chocolate’s anti-oxidant properties prevent radials from causing damage to the skin’s elastin, other proteins and collagen. It can help exfoliate dead skin cells and regenerate new ones.”

Additionally, microdermabrasion services are available for feet and with a medical director on board, Bhodi Tree Salon is able to offer medical grade peels.

Bodhi Tree Salon & Spa is located at 2705 Old Fort Parkway and can be reached at 615-900-3156.
