Matt & Ben by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers
It’s the story Hollywood has glamorized, publicized, and bombarded us with–how it all began for the two young men, now famous for their on-again-off-again romances and their big-budget smashes and flops.

It started with a script for Good Will Hunting, slaved over by the bright young dreamers in their run-down apartment in 1996.

Or was it?

This hilarious, scathing play takes us back to the pivotal moment when the finished script that would change their lives … fell from the ceiling while they were working on something else.

The laughs come at a manic pace in this delightfully venomous play that has taken off Broadway by storm.

This cast features Heidi Ervin and Elizabeth Williams.

Hidden in This Picture by Aaron Sorkin
The movie-within-the-play in Aaron Sorkin’s one-act comedy ”Hidden in This Picture” deals with a platoon of ”disillusioned marines” on the island of Guam.

But the film is being made on a farm outside of Schenectady.

Weeks behind schedule, millions over budget, the director watches calmly as an army of extras moves into action for the last sunset.

There is one unforeseen problem.

Three cows have ambled into the frame, jolting the war movie out of its context.

Panic strikes as the director and his colleagues try to figure out how to deal with the film’s new bovine dimension.

Before the play arrives at its predictable destination, Sorkin has some cutting remarks to make about the pretentiousness of the movie business and, tangentially, about the Off Off Broadway theater.

This cast features Justin Bourdet, Andy Woloszyn, Seth Limbaugh and Allen Murphy.
