This Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., MTSU public safety officials will run a test of the campus tornado-siren system and the voice-articulation component.

There will be an announcement, followed by a couple of loud blasts, followed by a repeat of the announcement.

The university will be testing the intensity of the blasts and the rate and clarity of the spoken announcement.

The test may be repeated if necessary in order to make those determinations. This will only be a test.
