WASHINGTON, DC – Last week, President Barack Obama nominated Louise W. Kelton to serve as United States Marshal for Middle Tennessee.

Obama also nominated Jamie A. Hainsworth or United States Marshal for the District of Rhode Island.
 
"These dedicated law enforcement officials have devoted their careers to serving and protecting the American people, distinguishing themselves as the best and brightest at every turn," President Obama said. "I am grateful for their service and honored to nominate them as United States Marshals."

Louise W. Kelton has spent her entire law enforcement career with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department in Nashville.  She joined the force in 1980, and has risen through the ranks to her current position as a Deputy Chief.  She received her undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Public Service Management from Cumberland University in Lebanon.
