Oakland High School will hold a Fountain Memorial service at 5 p.m. August 16 to honor those faculty members, staff members and students who died while being employed or attending Oakland High School.
Typically, the annual ceremony is held in May, but it had to be rescheduled this year due to a conflict with the graduation schedule.
With family approval, the names of students, faculty members and staff members who died while attending or working at the school are added automatically to the fountain at the school.
The names on the planters, however, are those of faculty, staff and students who died after leaving Oakland, although there is a fee for those former members of the OHS family.
