The North Rutherford YMCA-Ronald Reagan Family Center honored Peggy W. Morgan with its Volunteer of the Year Award on April 30 as part of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s Annual Celebration.
“Miss Peggy embodies the spirit of volunteerism, displaying a loving heart for all. She welcomes members and staff with caring smiles and warm hugs, and wishes each member a blessed day as they leave. She represents the best the Y and our commitment to serve our community,” YMCA Group Vice President Gary Cobbs said.
Each year, every YMCA center names a Volunteer of the Year, honoring those who’ve given of their time, talent and treasure to advance the mission of the YMCA.
In 2008, nearly 6,000 volunteers across Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky helped to enrich the lives of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children, helping them reach toward their fullest potential.
