No injuries were reported when a man was accused of firing a round through his neighbor’s home Sunday on Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Suspect Philip Bradley Hill, 24, of Lascassas Pike, was charged with two count of reckless endangerment, public intoxication and possession of a handgun while under the influence, Officer Vy Phothirath reported.

Victims Jerry and Denise Stepanek reported Hill apologized for firing a round into their home, the officer reported.

“The bullet went through Mr. Hill’s door, then through the Stepanek’s front door with a projectory through the living room and ending in the bedroom wall,” Phothirath reported.

Hill, who was intoxicated, told the neighbors he was cleaning his gun and it accidentally discharged but Phothirath reported there was no evidence he was cleaning his gun.

He was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing on the charges is set Jan. 26 in General Sessions Court.

In an unrelated case, Officer Tracey Womack reported someone fired six rounds into Janie Henderson’s home Saturday on East State Street, damaging the siding.
