SMYRNA, Tenn. -- Thousands of residents who visit the Smyrna Public Library, receive services from Greenhouse Ministries in Murfreesboro, or walk the grounds of the Sam Davis Home will soon benefit from a special anniversary gift from Nissan.
Nissan North America is donating a total of $30,000 to the organization in honor of 30th anniversary of production at its manufacturing plant in Smyrna.
Executive announced the donations Tuesday during a luncheon hosted at the Smyrna plant.
“Nissan has been a major contributor to the Rutherford County community for 30 years,” said Susan Brennan, vice president of the Nissan Smyrna plant. “It seems appropriate that we celebrate our anniversary by recognizing three local partners who also make valuable contributions to the quality of life in our community.”
Brennan said company officials are proud to support the educational programs and humanitarian services each offers, noting these are just a few of the outstanding organizations that have made a positive impact on the community and received donations from Nissan.
