The Spring 2011 BEP/Nissan Teacher Mini-Grant Awards Breakfast, held Wednesday, May 11 at Stones River Country Club, recognized 49 Rutherford County teachers from 25 schools who received awards for outstanding project proposals.

The Business Education Partnership Foundation at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to congratulate the following teachers for their innovative ideas which won their classrooms a BEP/Nissan Teacher Mini-Grant for Spring 2011.

The grants provide up to $500 per request for classroom project ideas from Rutherford County teachers. This season, the BEP received 164 applications and awarded 53 grants to 49 teachers in 25 Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools.
 
Awards were presented to teachers at the BEP/Nissan Mini-Grant Awards Breakfast on May 11th at the Stones River Country Club.

Award presenters included Lee Rennick, BEP executive director; Emil Hassan, BEP Board Chair; Susan Brennan, Nissan Vice-President of Manufacturing, Smyrna; Julie Corcoran, Nissan Director Projects-Battery Plant; Greg Jones, Nissan Director of Monozukuri Human Resources Smyrna & Decherd Manufacturing.
