German shepherd bites deputy

TMP Reports

A sheriff’s deputy suffered puncture wounds to his leg after a German shepherd attacked him while answering a call Monday on Emerald Drive, a supervisor reported.

Deputy Nathan Devers was treated for three small puncture wounds to the leg at Middle Tennessee Medical Center and later released, Sgt. Jon Frazier reported.

“The dog bit Deputy Devers in the left leg along the calf area,” Frazier reported.

Devers ran from the dog and jumped on the hood to get away. Owner Debbie Knight gained control of the dog.

Animal Control officers responded to make sure the dog has the vaccination shots.
