Diane Cantrell Phillips, age 71, of Indianapolis passed away on Jan. 7, 2008.
She was born in Murfreesboro and preceded in death by her father and mother, Shelby and Annie Margaret (Norris) Cantrell. Diane devoted her life to her family and to religious childhood education.
Survivors include her husband Jerry K. Phillips Sr.; two sons Jerry K. Phillips Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Rev. John Steven Phillips of Miami, Fla. and two daughters Shelby Ann Phillips Darnell of Tucker, Ga. and Cathy Lynn Phillips Tudor of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Diane and the family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice, Dr. Bhatia and the entire staff at Quality Oncology Care. Calling will be at Northside Baptist Church (3021 E. 71st St. Indianapolis) Jan. 11, 2008 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. Reverend Ron A. (Chip) Tudor will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Diane had requested memorial contributions be made to “Diane’s Children Facilities” c/o State Convention of Baptists in Indiana, 900 N.
