Smyrna Library will host one of its most popular summer events this weekend – the Nashville N-Trak model railroad display.

Longtime library employee Jimmie Guthrie (known as Mr. Jimmie to the library's smallest patrons) will be among the railroad aficionados bringing their elaborate train layout to the library. The exhibit will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24. This event is open to all ages and is free.

Nashville Ntrak, a model railroad club, will set up the 20x20 foot display, which will run N scale model trains and feature modular layouts by several of the club's members, including Guthrie's Buckeye Bluffs and Tom Spiggle's Metro module, which will include the debut of Metro Airport.

Nashville Ntrak has hosted model railroad displays throughout Middle Tennessee, including at the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro and the Tennessee State Fair in Nashville; the club has also set up displays in Cincinnati, Louisville, and Knoxville.

For more information on Nashville Ntrak or the Smyrna event, visit www.nashvillentrak.org or contact Jimmie Guthrie at Smyrna Library, 615-459-4884. Smyrna Library is located at 40 Enon Springs Rd. W.
