Whatever happened to Government for the people by the people? Apparently our elected officials have forgotten that important rule. They continually give us things we do not want (aka Bible Park) and those things that we do want (ie Police Precinct) are continually overlooked. Time for those officials to go and find someone that is willing to give voice to those people whom they serve. Developers that are willing to give millions of dollars for the officials own pockets have had their day. The Chamber is clearly not interested in Rutherford County but the almight dollar. Some people will sell their dignity for any price!

If our almighty government officials have decided that they like the Bible Park, we will have a Bible Park - (come hell or high water) ... just had to say it.
Truly, it's like the landfill. Under the table money, good ole boy system, get the "right" people in and <
> you can have whatever you want.

This sounds like the most hokey, blatantly commercial idea ever. Any person who believes in the Bible, or any other serious faith, should be offended by this. Why in the world would anyone want to go to this park other than to make fun of it? Indiana Jones tour guides? Actors dressed as animals playing with our children on a fake Noah's Ark?
And what exactly does this mean?
"If you want a religious perspective on the park, you will come with your minister," Bar-Tur said.
What other perspective would you have besides a religious perspective? I guess he means a historical perspective. Hmmmm, the buring bush, very historical and non-religious.
Also, who would pay money to study a wall of the Bible.
Citizens, we cannot accept this. It will not improve our profile. It will make us a laughing stock.

The developer is taking everyone for a ride, NO pun intended. Their track record is suspect, even a Hard Rock theme park they developed had trouble opening. They are looking for investors, it's all PR.

Could this "article" appear any more slanted in favor of the developer? Even the local news sources are bending over to take this garbage.
It's time to start organizing a major demonstration.

Bonita- You are so right! That park is a done deal! The only thing we can do now is do some intensive research on the candidates running for these offices that are voted in by us(the Public) and be ready to put our vote where our mouth is and get them out of office- or shut up!
