Lewis Waldon Spurlock,age 86, born September 28, 1922 in Auburntown, TN passed away on July 29, 2009. Mr. Spurlock is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruby Stone Spurlock. He is survived by several cousins. He started to school in Akron, Ohio in 1930 in the first grade. In 1941, he graduated from at Auburn High School. At 21, he went to Oak Ridge, TN in 1943 and left in 1952 for Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1968, he graduated from University of Cincinnati with a degree in Speech and English and retired in January 31, 2004 after 33 years as a naturalist for the City of Cincinnati.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Odom Cemetery in Auburntown.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers, 820 S. Church St., Murfreesboro, TN37130 615-893-2422 www.jenningsandayers.com. |
