In an attempt to bring citizens, public officials and other groups together in developing a shared vision for land use decision-making in Rutherford County, the county and planning team will hold four open house meetings over the next several weeks.
The Rutherford County Planning Department and its consultant team have begun work on a Comprehensive Plan for Rutherford County. The plan is scheduled to be complete in approximately one year.
A Steering Committee, appointed by the County Commission, will work closely with the planning team to prepare the Comprehensive Plan. The planning team recently completed a number of public outreach meetings to involve different groups in the planning process.
The meetings are an opportunity for citizens to share their views with members of the planning team.
Meeting dates and locations are:
Tuesday, June 30: Lascassas Elementary School, 6300 Lascassas Pike
Wednesday, July 1: Buchanan Elementary School, 6050 Manchester Pike
Tuesday, July 7: Rockvale Elementary School, 6550 Highway 99
Wednesday, July 8: Smyrna Town Centre, 100 Sam Ridley Parkway
All open house meetings will begin at 6 p.m.
