Middle Tennessee Medical Center is extending the scope of its Maternal-Fetal services with the addition of three Maternal-Fetal medicine physicians to its medical staff.
Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine has expanded its practice to MTMC from Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine’s physicians Cornelia Graves, MD, Harold Breckenridge Collins, MD and Audrey Kang, MD, specialize in the care of women with high-risk pregnancies. These physicians have completed two to three years of additional formal education and clinical experience within an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology approved Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists have advanced knowledge of the obstetrical, medical, genetic, and surgical complications of pregnancy and their effects on both the mother and fetus.

Ferguson. “With the addition of Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine, we are extending the local availability of care to mothers experiencing high risk pregnancies."
Dr. Cornelia “Connie” Graves is a graduate of Baylor University where she received honors. Dr. Graves received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was the recipient of the Purdue Fredrick Award for Excellence in Women’s Healthcare while there. She completed her internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She completed her Maternal-Fetal Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. During her fellowship, Dr. Graves received special training in Obstetrical Critical Care and is a nationally recognized expert in maternal disease states. She is a professor at Vanderbilt University, where she has served as the director of Obstetrical Critical Care, the director of the Maternal section of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and most recently, the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Graves is extensively published and has received numerous teaching, research, professional and community awards. She has been actively involved in research and has served as an investigator on studies involving asthma, HIV, diabetes, and drug addiction during pregnancy. Recognized as a “Top Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology,” Dr. Graves is frequently invited to share her expertise in both national and international forums. Dr. Graves is active in numerous organizations on a state and national level, and is currently the President-Elect of the Nashville OB-GYN Society.
Dr. Audrey Kang received her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Brown University and completed her medical degree at Brown in 1992. She completed her residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, respectively. She has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 1999, and a reviewer for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2003. She has received special recognition from both AOA and APGO for her excellence in medical education.
Dr. Harold Breckenridge “Breck” Collins: Dr. Collins is a cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his medical degree from the UT Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. Dr. Collins completed his residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He remained there to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He remained at the University of Arkansas for another eight years as a faculty member, and subsequently was a member of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Collins has had special training in health services research and has particular interests in fetal diseases. He is an avid teacher and has received several awards for teaching medical students.
