| Obesity is the most common health problem facing children today. The annual National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey by the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention found that about one-third of U.S. children are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight.
And, recent research documents a decline in physical activity among children with less than a third meeting recommended physical activity guidelines by the time they are 15 years old.
StoneCrest Medical Center this week will host The “2008 GET ANIMATED” tour, an interactive, educational activity tour designed to encourage kids to use their mind, body, and imagination to get up and get moving.
