When will our local historians put on displays/write articles/etc. etc. of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County covering the time period of the mid 60's through the late 70's/early 80's? Changes in business locations, schools, etc. etc. My biggest interest is the change of the roadway infrastructure locally, graduating from the old two lane U.S. routes of yesteryear, through the 'modernization' of these routes into 4 lane highways, on into our present day interstate system. I'll still get down to the Heritage Center. It sounds like they will have a wealth of information to offer!

Wonderful suggestion, matttheprn. History is one big story. It starts back then and continues on til 'bout now. It is difficult to relate the distant past to the present when important gaps such as the one you identify are left out. That being said, I am confident that the center will present a comprehensive history. We are blessed to have the talent and resources in our community to develop what will surely be an extremely valuable resource. Before very long I believe they will make it possible to stroll back through our history without leaping over gaps or getting bogged down in excessivly traveled ruts.
