A formal Change of Responsibility ceremony for the command of the Tennessee National Guard will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at National Guard Headquarters, 3041 Sidco Dr. in Nashville.
Major Gen. Gus L. Hargett, Jr. will pass responsibility and command of the Tennessee National Guard to Brigadier Gen. Terry M. “Max” Haston.
Hargett retired from the Tennessee National Guard on December 31, 2009, after more than 47 years of military service. He is currently serving as president of the National Guard Association of the United States in Washington, DC.
Brig. Gen. Haston has served as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army since 2008. He is a former Commander of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations and Training, for the Tennessee National Guard.
