The Center for the Arts will play host to Nashville’s Elite Performing Songwriters, Jack & Diane, at 7:30 Friday night. This evening’s special guest is Lisa Shaffer & Heathen Ridge.

Lisa Shaffer is a highly respected Recording Artist and Songwriter who co-wrote the current Radio and CMT Video Hit Hip Hop In A Honky Tonk by Colt Ford, the CMT Video and Radio Hit I’ve Gotta Start Somewhere by Rhonda Vincent, The #1 song I’ve Seen It All by Christian Bluegrass Artists Darin and Brooke Aldridge, and Lisa’s songs are on albums up for both Grammy & Dove Awards in 2011.

Jack & Diane have performed together all over the country. They are winners of the Tin Pan South/Taylor Guitars songwriting competition, and have performed at Tin Pan South. Jack & Diane were invited performers for the Durango Songwriters Retreat in Telluride, as well as popular Nashville rooms like The Bluebird and The Listening Room. Recently, Jack & Diane released their newest album, Play For Me.

Each month, Jack & Diane bring their intimate acoustic listening show to The Center for the Arts’ stage. The June 29th show aims to be one that simply can’t be missed. Bring your date for an evening to unwind with music that revives the soul, lightens the heart, and takes the stress of the workday away. The Center for the Arts art gallery becomes Jack & Diane’s living room: a relaxed space where couples can share their own bottle of wine or table picnic while listening to engaging soulful music.
