Nashville Sounds to hold La Vergne Night

Residents and friends of La Vergne are heading out to the ballpark on Saturday, Sept. 1 to enjoy America’s favorite pastime. The Nashville Sounds will host the city, with proceeds to benefit the La Vergne High School band.

The high school band will perform on the plaza as fans enter the ballpark and will be a part of the pre-game ceremonies. Mayor Senna Mosley will throw out the first pitch that evening.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support our students,” said Mayor Mosley. “Ticket sales will benefit the high school band, so why not come out and spend the evening having fun and cheering on the Nashville Sounds!”

The game against the Memphis Redbirds begins at 6:35 p.m., but the Sounds recommend people arrive 30 minutes prior to opening pitch. After the game, WKRN News 2 will sponsor a spectacular fireworks show.

Greer Stadium is located at 534 Chestnut Street in Nashville.
