The last time the temperature was freezing in Nashville was March 7, over a month ago.

Temperatures through the first week and a half of April 2010 have averaged 11 degrees above normal, one of the warmest starts to any April on record.

The forecast calls for above normal temperatures through the remainder of April, so it appears unlikely that freezing temperatures will return this spring.

If this is the case, then Nashville will have experienced its second earliest last freeze in the spring on record.

The earliest last freeze in the spring on record in Nashville was March 5, 1927.

Last freezing temperature in Murfreesboro was March 28 when a nightly low of 32 degrees was recorded at the Murfreesboro Water Treatment plant.

Whatever the weather, it is due to Gorebal Warming, as the intelligentsia know.
