Slated for Saturday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Barfield Crescent Wilderness Station in Murfreesboro, residents are invited to attend Music in the Wild for music-filled evening filled with delicious bird friendly coffee.
Music will be provided by Middle Tennessee-based The Jimalong Josies, which is an old-time string band formed to preserve the music of American ancestors.
Members even dress in 19th century attire, and the quartet performs tunes that might have been heard in Tennessee during Reconstruction.
The group has also been known to throw in a tune from the early 1900s as well.
