Thousands of music lovers head south this weekend to hear some well-known and up-and-coming bands perform live under the sun.

Local residents can relax – Bonnaroo isn’t until June.

The third annual Hangout Music Fest is slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Gulf Shores, Ala. with headliners The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White and Dave Matthews Band.

Recently awarded “Best Festival of the Year” honors by leading concert industry outlet Pollstar, the festival’s music performances will take place across four stages – featuring two main stages right on the beach and an air-conditioned dance tent.
