What does your company produce? Hotel accommodations and banquet facilities

What is your basic business philosophy? To provide exceptionally warm and caring service where our guests feel welcome and appreciated.

Give us a sales pitch in 25 words or less: The newly renovated DoubleTree Murfreesboro is a full-service facility offering clean comfortable guest rooms, banquet and catering services and an onsite sports bar, Fanatic’s.

What is your proudest business achievement? When the DoubleTree was ranked in the top 10 of all DoubleTree hotels!

What led you to Murfreesboro? I was born in Murfreesboro and left for several years to work at a hotel in Atlanta. I came back to finish college and because I love Middle Tennessee.

What is your educational background? Graduated from MTSU in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology

What do you do for fun? Outdoor activities, water skiing, reading, exercising, spending time with family and friends and laughing. 

Tell us about your family: I have two brothers, two sisters and three nephews and four nieces. My Dad, Ray, is a retired veterinarian and he and my Mom, Brenda, live in Hartsville on a farm.

Who was your mentor?  I really owe my decision to enter the hotel field to my parents who suggested I work at the Garden Plaza while in College. I also learned a great deal about management from a former boss at the Garden Plaza Hotel, Frank Cirrincione.

What is the most important thing going on now at your operation? Blue Raider football! As the host hotel for the MTSU Blue Raider football team, we provide the team’s lodging and pre-game meals before all home games. You haven’t seen anything until you see 80 of the most respectful boys go through a buffet line in less than seven minutes! Go Blue!
