What is your basic business philosophy? People appreciate honesty. I do what I say I will do when I say I will do it. I work hard to meet deadlines even when it means nights and weekends.

Give us a sales pitch in 25 words or less: Whether you’re starting a new endeavor or want to spruce up your marketing materials, I can present creative solutions to help your business get noticed.

What is your proudest business achievement? I enjoy helping other small businesses establish a professional identity. Your logo, website and business cards are oftentimes your first impression to your customers. It’s important to make that investment in the beginning to ensure a professional appearance.

What led you to Murfreesboro? I was born and raised in Murfreesboro. It’s a great place to grow up and a great place to start a small business.

What is your educational background? I received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design from MTSU in 2002.

What do you do for fun? My husband and I love being outdoors fishing, hiking and camping. We’re also big Indycar fans.

Tell us about your family: I live with my husband of three years, Tom, our two dogs and a parrot.

Who was your mentor? I have two, my parents. They ran a successful business for more than 30 years and instilled a good work ethic in me.

What is the most important thing going on now at your operation? I’m in the process of updating and expanding my Web site to include Web and design resources. Check it out: www.amandanorthcutt.com.
