The Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department will be holding two autumn-themed events Friday, Oct. 19, to celebrate the Halloween season.

The 14th annual Fall Harvest Hayride will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the General Bragg Trailhead on Stones River Greenway in Murfreesboro.

This unique hayride offers the whole family a great time with hayrides, live music, bonfire, hot dogs, s’mores and children's activities.

Tickets are $2 per person, and kids younger than 2 years old are free. The price includes the hayride and one s’more while supplies last. There will be a food vendor selling hotdogs as well.

The General Bragg Trailhead is located on West College Street in Murfreesboro.

From 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., children ages 7 through 13 will be able to enjoy a Spooky Splash at the Patterson Park Community Center on Mercury Boulevard in Murfreesboro.

There will be swimming and craft time, as well as pizza and mud pies to dig into.

Tickets are $5. Space is limited to first 40 participants, so parents are advised to pre-register their children for the event.

For more information or to register, contact Kyle Goss at kgoss@murfreesborotn.gov.
