Murfreesboro Detective receives Crime Stoppers award

Detective Tommy Massey was recently recognized at the Rutherford County Crime Stoppers annual awards ceremony. Detective Massey was selected to represent the Murfreesboro Police Department as the Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year because of his involvement in two cold case homicide investigations. Massey’s supervisor credits him with uncovering new leads and witnesses, improving the likelihood of prosecution of both cold cases.

Chief Chrisman stated in a letter to the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors “Detective Massey has demonstrated that through hard work and personal resolve anything can be accomplished. We are proud of Detective Massey and his years of service to the community. He is highly deserving of this award.”
