Responding to “rapid organizational growth”, Dr. Nate Schott has named Sara A. Brody chief operating officer of Murfreesboro Dental Excellence and Dr. Nate’s Naturals. 

Dr. Schott is enthusiastic about Brody’s new position and the impact he believes her energetic presence will make on his organization.

“I’m excited that she’s here to organize and lead; what she brings in terms of management talent is second to none.  Her leadership skills will enable us to continue in this rapid growth pattern while maintaining the outstanding level of patient care we have always provided in the community,” Schott said.

Brody’s leadership experience spans the business and nonprofit sectors.  She had a successful 22-year investment banking career in New York with Lehman Brothers, Inc., where as a vice president she was entrusted with project management, operations and administration, leadership and training, strategic planning, and budgeting in Lehman’s Real Estate, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Technology divisions.

Although Brody enjoyed her work with Lehman, her desire to form a nonprofit organization and to contribute to the world in a different way led her to use her technology and project management experience as she co-founded Rutherford LEAP (Learning Education Advancement Program).  Rutherford LEAP was created to help prepare public school students with the tools they need to be successful in the workplace and in higher education through the use of technology in the classroom across the curriculum.

Sara Brody has embraced her new responsibilities wholeheartedly.  “The opportunity to work with Dr. Schott and the staff at Murfreesboro Dental Excellence as well as with Dr. Nate's Naturals is an exciting opportunity for me.  I look forward to becoming a part of the process, and to having a positive impact in guiding the organizations in their growth while working with an outstanding group of professionals as we achieve these goals,” she said.
 
Sara Brody has a degree in political science from Binghamton University.  In addition to other professional affiliations, Brody serves on the Regional Leadership Committee for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, and holds Board of Directors positions with the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring and Linebaugh Library Foundation.
