The Murfreesboro City Hall Art Committee announced the opening of the exhibit: "Our Stories - Mapping the Growth of Murfreesboro - Historical Maps and Murfreesboro: Through the Artist's Eye."

Sponsored in cooperation with the Bicentennial Our Stories Committee the exhibition features a collection of Murfreesboro maps alongside the work of 11 hometown painters and photographers. The show scheduled for July 31 – Sept. 7, will include an artists' reception Thursday, Aug. 9, from 4:30-6 p.m.

Artists participating include: Carol Berning, Bill Brison, Marilyn Brisbois, Anne Carothers, Pam Mack, Harry Polny, Suzanne LeBeau, Glenn Merchant, Martha Osbourn, Mary Miller Veazie and Dan Whittle.
