Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball League opened its season Friday with 90 teams in eight divisions and more than 1,000 players taking their game to courts across town.

The Murfreesboro Post has partnered with the Parks and Recreation Department to bring game highlights every Thursday during the season, ending with the league championship in March.

7-8 Boys Division

Nets 15, Bulls 7
The Nets were led by Antonio Patterson with 11 points and Alexis Dean and Bryce Williamson each with two points.

The Bulls were led by Xuam Lawson with six points and William Arnold with one point.

Pistons 20, Hornets 8
The Pistons were led by Adam Martins with eight points, Ethan Franks with six points, Carrington Allen with four points and Corey Steele with two points.

The Hornets were led by Tim Simpson with six points and Caleb Ivey with two points.

9-10 Boys Division

Rockets 28, Mavericks 15
The Rockets were led by Cameron Pipkins with 10 points and Kameron Goodrich with nine points. The Rockets also got three points from Taylor Yancey and two points each from Nathanael Hicks, Hunter Lehman and Darion Tillman.

The Mavericks were led by Jon Blalock with six points, James Wright with four points, Jahi Morris with three points and Quinten Goodhart with two points.

Jazz 22, Pistons 15
The Jazz were led by Haneef Sharif with 10 points, Matthew Schneider with sixpoints, Noah Johnson with four points and Kareem Sharif with two points.

The Pistons were led by Cade Grant with nine points, Kaleb Howse with four points and Cason Cobble with two points.

Suns 19, Magic 17
The Suns were led by Adam Acuna with eight points. The Suns also got two points from Brandon McClure, Khori Williams, Joseph Greene, Jayln Willard and Corey Valovich. Micah Robinson added one point in the Suns victory.

The Magic were led by Cody Bryant and Andrew Arnold each with five points. The Magic got three points from Vari Robinson, two points from Ben Sandlin and one point each from Tanner Louk and BJ Connard.

11-12 Boys Division

Bulls 25, Mavericks 20
The Bulls were led by Eric Sanders with eight points.

The Mavericks were led by Garrett May with six points.

Magic 29, Pistons 23
The Magic were led by Will Morris with eight points.

The Pistons were led by Donovan Crisp with seven points.
