Dominique North, 23, was allegedly assaulted and robbed Wednesday night on Second Avenue.
He told police that he and a friend, Dedrick McMurray, 17, were walking down the street when they were approached by Cedrick Mitchell, approximately 17-18 years old, and another 17 or18-year-old black male wearing a blue shirt who went by the name “Cali.”
North said the pair asked him for change for a $20 bill, he refused and Mitchell punched him. He stated he fell to the ground and was kicked repeatedly.
According to North, the two took his Gucci backpack that contained an iPod and gym clothes, then they took approximately $200 to $300 cash out of his pocket.
North said he got up and chased the men down Minor St., and then one of them flashed a handgun at him, allowing them to get away.
